MUBI’s lineup for June 2025 features Twin Peaks, Việt and Nam, Gregg Araki, and more.

MUBI’s selections for June 2025 have been unveiled, featuring the previously announced extensive collection of David Lynch and Mark Frost’s Twin Peaks: Seasons 1 & 2 and Twin Peaks: The Return. Additional highlights include Trương Minh Quý’s acclaimed second feature, Việt and Nam, along with films by Gregg Araki, Ira Sachs, Alain Guiraudie, and Michael Almereyda.

In his review of Trương Minh Quý’s film, which was selected for Cannes and the NYFF, Luke Hicks remarked, “The initial shot of Việt and Nam, the sophomore film by writer-director Trương Minh Quý, exemplifies cinematic restraint. Almost undetectable white specks of dust gradually emerge, appearing sporadically, drifting from the top to the bottom of a pitch-black screen, where the faintest hint of something can be discerned in the consuming darkness. The sound design is both expansive and intimate, filled with the sound of breath and the gentle trickle of running water. A boy slowly appears, making his way from one corner of the screen to the other, carrying another boy on his back. A dream is softly conveyed through a voiceover. Then, without the frame fully revealing itself, it disappears.”
