Wellness takes a dark turn in the trailer for the horror-thriller Pins and Needles.
In anticipation of its VOD launch this June, a trailer has been released online for the Canadian indie horror-thriller "Pins and Needles," written and directed by James Villeneuve.
The film centers on Max, a diabetic student whose routine drive back to campus turns into a nightmare when her car breaks down and she seeks assistance at a luxuriously-appointed wellness retreat. As her insulin supply rapidly decreases, she becomes entangled in a lethal game of cat and mouse.
The cast includes Chelsea Clark, Kate Corbett, Ryan McDonald, Damian Romeo, and Daniel Gravelle. You can watch the trailer below…
What should have been a simple trip back to school transforms into a terrifying ordeal as Max, a biology graduate student with diabetes, finds herself ensnared in a sinister new-age wellness experiment. With her insulin running low, she must navigate a deadly situation in which she needs to escape at all costs to avoid becoming the next subject in a cruel test devised to prolong the lives of the wealthy.
"Pins and Needles" will be available on VOD starting June 24th.
