EJ Moreno presents a video discussing why the Lilo & Stitch remake is successful. Not only was it nearly impossible to translate the vibrant visuals and engaging characters, but I was also unaware of the film's passionate (and fervent) fanbase.
Following its opening weekend, the response to Disney’s latest live-action adaptation isn't surprising, yet it's hard to ignore this sense of misplaced frustration. With Nani receiving a more substantial role and a more streamlined conclusion, Lilo & Stitch demonstrates that a compelling story transcends its format. It succeeded in animation and performs equally well here.

“A live-action reimagining of Disney’s 2002 animated classic, 'Lilo & Stitch' is the wildly humorous and heartfelt tale of a lonely Hawaiian girl and the runaway alien who aids in healing her fractured family.” Directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, Lilo & Stitch features Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, Chris Sanders, with Courtney B. Vance, and Zach Galifianakis, and introduces Maia Kealoha.
