Melissa George will star in the New Zealand crime dramedy Ms. X.
Warner Bros. Discovery has officially approved **Ms. X**, a new crime dramedy from New Zealand, featuring Melissa George (The Mosquito Coast) as the lead.
Created and written by Hannah Marshall and David de Lautour, **Ms. X** follows a suburban mother (George) who joins forces with an old high school friend to intimidate her unfaithful husband into remaining loyal. However, when events take a deadly turn, she finds herself entangled in a world of crime, caught between the police, the cartel, and a ruthless PTA.
The series will be produced by WBD’s TV3, with De Lautour as the director. Executive producers include de Lautour, Marshall, and Gareth Williams from Plus6Four Entertainment, along with Kelly Martin from South Pacific Pictures, and Daniel March from Dynamic Television.
“**Ms. X** offers a darkly comedic perspective on the New Zealand criminal underbelly, merging our unique Kiwi humor with a twisting crime narrative, designed for a global audience,” remarked Marshall.
“**Ms. X** is a unique, fast-paced crime thriller that is both unyielding, suspenseful, and entertaining,” said March from Dynamic. “Melissa George is an international star who will make **Ms. X** a memorable character for viewers.”
“**Ms. X** is a thrilling new series from Hannah and David – along with Melissa, we have some of New Zealand's finest talents and we’re eager to produce a world-class series,” added Martin, CEO of South Pacific.
Filming for **Ms. X** is set to commence next week, with a premiere expected in spring 2026.
