Netflix has released a poster and trailer for The Thursday Murder Club, an adaptation of Richard Osman’s bestselling novel directed by Chris Columbus.
The film features Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, and Celia Imrie as four retirees who enjoy solving cold cases as a pastime. Their investigations take an exciting twist when a murder takes place right outside their door.
The ensemble cast also includes Naomi Ackie, Daniel Mays, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Tom Ellis, Jonathan Pryce, David Tennant, Paul Freeman, Geoff Bell, Richard E. Grant, and Ingrid Oliver. You can watch the trailer below…
Adapted from Richard Osman’s internationally bestselling book, The Thursday Murder Club centers around four indomitable retirees – Elizabeth (Helen Mirren), Ron (Pierce Brosnan), Ibrahim (Ben Kingsley), and Joyce (Celia Imrie) – who occupy their time by solving cold case murders for amusement. When a mysterious death occurs nearby, their lighthearted sleuthing takes an exhilarating turn as they confront a genuine whodunit.
The Thursday Murder Club premieres on Netflix on August 28th.
