Pokémon Legends: Z-A has a release date set for October.
The Pokémon Company International has revealed that Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition are set to launch on October 16, with pre-orders opening on June 5 via the Nintendo eShop. Players who buy either the physical or digital versions will have the chance to upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition by obtaining an upgrade pack from the eShop.
Additional information about Pokémon Legends: Z-A includes the release of the cover art (see above), which showcases the main characters and their partner Pokémon engaged in battle at night in Lumiose City.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A departs from the usual format of the Pokémon video game series by crafting a role-playing game narrative that unfolds entirely within a single city. Trainers will enjoy a new real-time battle system, offering a unique experience unlike any seen in the franchise before, as they embark on a fresh adventure in Lumiose City.
Before the game’s release, fans can shop for Mega Evolution-themed merchandise from the online Pokémon Center. Trainers and enthusiasts can find a selection of apparel, accessories, pin badges, plush toys, and more. Among the items available are large pins featuring Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y, various hoodies and t-shirts adorned with Mega Venusaur, Mega Gengar, Mega Lucario, and other designs, as well as 9.5-inch plush toys of Mega-Evolved Pokémon.
Starting in June, those who pre-order Pokémon Legends: Z-A from Pokémon Center in the U.K., Canada, or the U.S. will receive a random Pokémon Sitting Cuties plush—either Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile—as a bonus with their purchase. This offer is limited and subject to availability, so interested fans should act quickly if they want one of these plush toys.
