Netflix releases the inaugural trailer for Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein.

TUDUM 2025 has unveiled our first glimpse of Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein. Set to debut on Netflix this fall, the acclaimed director is taking on one of his passion projects, and based on the initial teaser, we can expect a visual experience unlike any other from del Toro. Featuring an ensemble cast, get ready for a reimagining of one of horror’s timeless stories.

The official logline for Frankenstein states: “Guillermo del Toro adapts Mary Shelley’s classic story of Victor Frankenstein, an intelligent yet self-absorbed scientist who brings a creature to existence in a horrific experiment, which ultimately leads to the downfall of both the creator and his tragic creation.” This new venture into horror marks del Toro’s latest collaboration with Netflix, following his stop-motion adaptation of Pinocchio and the anthology series, Cabinet of Curiosities. With Frankenstein, the director is fully committing to style while delivering the profound themes we have come to expect.

The film features a star-studded cast including Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, Charles Dance, and Christoph Waltz. Be sure to check out the teaser trailer here…
