Samuel L. Jackson will star in the spin-off of Tulsa King titled NOLA King.
Taylor Sheridan's television empire is set to expand once more as he brings on board the legendary Samuel L. Jackson for NOLA King, a spin-off of the Sylvester Stallone-led Tulsa King.
The storyline will kick off in the third season of Tulsa King, where Jackson is expected to appear in several episodes as his character, Russell Lee Washington Jr., a member of the criminal underworld who will clash with Stallone’s Dwight Manfredi. After his interactions with Dwight, he will relocate to New Orleans to establish his dominance in NOLA King.
Currently, Tulsa King is in the midst of filming its third season, and Jackson is scheduled to shoot his episodes in July. NOLA King will then commence production in February 2026, with Dave Erikson, who is the showrunner for Tulsa King and Mayor of Kingstown, writing, showrunning, and executive producing the Jackson-led series. Sheridan, along with David C. Glasser from 101 Studios, will also be executive producers.
This will be Jackson’s latest venture into television. He has previously appeared as a guest star on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., reprising his MCU character Nick Fury, before leading the Disney+ miniseries Secret Invasion. Most recently, he starred in Peacock’s series Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist. Jackson boasts an extensive career in the industry, having been part of countless films including Pulp Fiction, the Star Wars prequels, Unbreakable, Kingsman, Die Hard with a Vengeance, several Marvel Studios films, and many more.
“Dwight (Sylvester Stallone) and his team continue to expand and safeguard their growing empire in Tulsa, but just as they find their footing, they realize they aren’t the only ones looking to make their mark. With threats from the Kansas City mob and a powerful local businessman, Dwight faces challenges in keeping his family and crew safe while managing all his dealings. Additionally, he still has unresolved matters back in New York.”
Tulsa King features a cast including Sylvester Stallone, Martin Starr, Jay Will, Max Casella, Vincent Piazza, Tatiana Zappardino, Annabella Sciorra, Neal McDonough, Frank Grillo, Domenick Lombardozzi, Andrea Savage, Garrett Hedlund, and Dana Delany.
