When a group of farm animals revolts and ousts their neglectful farmer, life seems promising and the vision of a free, just future appears attainable. However, power conflicts between some of literature’s most notorious characters arise, and the harsh realities of a world structured for humans complicate and corrupt the satirical and allegorical messages of Animal Farm.
The film boasts a voice cast that includes Seth Rogen, Gaten Matarazzo, Woody Harrelson, Steve Buscemi, Glenn Close, Kieran Culkin, Laverne Cox, Jim Parsons, Kathleen Turner, Iman Vellani, and Andy Serkis.
Animal Farm will premiere on Sunday, June 9th at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
