Oh, hello! Trailer: Molly Gordon and Logan Lerman’s romantic escape takes an unexpected turn.

Debuting at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, Sophie Brooks’ Oh, Hi! offers a delightful twist on the romantic comedy genre, keeping certain plot elements under wraps. The film features Molly Gordon, Logan Lerman, Geraldine Viswanathan, John Reynolds, and David Cross, and has been acquired by Sony Pictures Classics for a release on July 25. The first trailer has now been released.

The synopsis reads: “Iris has found her ideal partner, Isaac, and they are relishing their first romantic getaway — what could possibly go wrong? This witty and endearingly quirky dark comedy explores the ups and downs of contemporary dating and the ways it drives us a little mad.”

In his Sundance review, Kent M. Wilhelm remarked, “Have you ever tied someone up and left them? I haven’t either. But that certainly makes for an intriguing inciting incident in a film. A more relatable scenario is the romantic getaway — a significant milestone in any new relationship. That uninterrupted time together can work wonders for getting to know one another, revealing truths that shape the future of the relationship. Iris (Molly Gordon) and Isaac’s (Logan Lerman) journey starts off like an Airbnb commercial in Oh, Hi! However, what begins as an enjoyable weekend quickly loses its charm; regrettably, the film follows suit.”
