20th Century Studios has released the initial trailer for "Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere," the upcoming biopic directed by Scott Cooper (known for Crazy Heart), which is based on Warren Zanes’ book of the same title.
The film features Jeremy Allen White from The Bear portraying the young musician and follows his experiences while creating his 1982 album "Nebraska," as he grapples with the pressures of his newfound success.
The cast includes Jeremy Strong as Jon Landau, Springsteen’s longtime confidant and manager; Paul Walter Hauser as guitar technician Mike Batlan; Stephen Graham as Springsteen's father Doug; Odessa Young as his romantic interest Faye; Gaby Hoffman as his mother Adele; Marc Maron as Chuck Plotkin; and David Krumholtz as Columbia Records executive Al Teller. “Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere” tells the story of Bruce Springsteen’s 1982 album "Nebraska," created when he was a young artist on the verge of worldwide fame, trying to balance the pressures of success with the shadows of his past. The album, recorded on a 4-track recorder in Springsteen’s bedroom in New Jersey, signified a crucial moment in his life and is regarded as one of his most significant works—a raw, haunting acoustic album filled with lost souls seeking a reason to have faith.
"Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere" will be released in theaters on October 24th.
