
The first trailer for Stephen King's series The Institute has been released.
After a set of initial images for The Institute, MGM+ has released the trailer for its forthcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s 2019 novel of the same title.
The horror series focuses on Luke, a brilliant 12-year-old who is kidnapped and finds himself in a mysterious place called The Institute, populated by children with strange and supernatural powers.
The cast features Joe Freeman (Luke Ellis), Mary-Louise Parker (Ms. Sigsby), Ben Barnes (Tim Jamieson), Simone Miller (Kalisha), Fionn Laird (Nick), Hannah Galway (Wendy), Julian Richings (Stackhouse), Robert Joy (Dr. Hendricks), and Martin Roach (Chief Ashworth). Watch the trailer below...
“The Institute” tells the tale of teenage prodigy Luke Ellis (Freeman), who is taken against his will and wakes up at The Institute, a facility housing other children who share his experience and possess extraordinary abilities. In a nearby town, a troubled former police officer, Tim Jamieson (Barnes), seeks to begin anew, but the tranquility will not last, as the paths of his story and Luke’s are fated to intertwine.
The Institute makes its debut on MGM+ on July 13th.
