Harold & Kumar ignite a new sequel with a fourth film currently in the works.

      With marijuana now legalized in numerous states across the United States, what kind of escapades might our favorite stoners, Harold and Kumar, find themselves in next? We will soon discover in a new installment of the stoner comedy series.

      The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Harold & Kumar 4 is in the early stages of development. Kal Penn and John Cho are anticipated to reprise their roles, with original Harold & Kumar writers Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg directing. They will collaborate with Josh Heald on the script, while Mandate Pictures is set to produce the film.

      “We’re excited to bring Harold and Kumar back for a return to the unapologetically R-rated, smoke-filled chaos that started it all,” Hurwitz and Schlossberg said in a statement to THR. “It’s high time they share their wisdom with a new generation. Just don’t tell their kids.”

      The original movie, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, was released in 2004 and quickly became a cult favorite. This was followed by Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay in 2008 and A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas in 2011. Together, the films have grossed approximately $104 million globally.
