
Matt Reeves has confirmed that the script for The Batman Part II is finished.
We’ve been patient long enough, and fans of Batman are starting to feel restless. The news that Matt Reeves has finished the script for The Batman Part II couldn’t have come at a better moment.
After months filled with uncertainty about the sequel’s progress, including James Gunn commenting on it and rumors suggesting it might be canceled, a recent photo of the filmmaker has excited fans.
“Partners in Crime (Fighters),” Reeves captioned a post on Instagram alongside co-writer Mattson Tomlin. The writer-director shared an image of the completed script, although the first page was obscured. It was evident that a Batman logo was visible at the top.
The path to The Batman Part II has been lengthy, but as the saying goes, “the best things come to those who wait” usually proves to be true. The sequel was announced in April 2022, just a month after the original hit theaters. That Robert Pattinson-starring film earned $772 million worldwide.
The Batman Part II is currently set for release on October 1st, 2027.
