The survival horror first-person shooter Drop Dead: The Cabin is set to be released on Steam for PC.
If you enjoy the horror vibes of the 80s, shooting zombies in the face, and experiencing panic with friends in a spooky cabin in the woods, you should keep an eye on the fan-favorite VR survival shooter, Drop Dead: The Cabin. Developer Soul Assembly has announced that it will be released as a fully standalone PC game on Steam later this year.
Initially available on Meta Quest headsets, Drop Dead: The Cabin is now transitioning to flat-screen gameplay, featuring enhanced visuals, improved textures, and all the spooky lighting and synth sound design you would expect from a tribute to classic 80s horror films.
The PC version introduces expanded 4-player co-op, allowing you and your friends to work together to fend off relentless hordes of the undead, all while desperately managing resources like weapons and ammo and trying to keep the power on long enough to survive the night. Dynamic roguelike elements ensure that each session is fresh and challenging, and complete crossplay support allows PC players to join the action with their VR friends for a seamless multiplayer experience.
Soul Assembly CEO David Solari stated, “We’re thrilled to bring this experience to a wider audience, enhancing the game for PC players while preserving the core elements that made it successful in VR.”
Set to release towards the end of the year, Drop Dead: The Cabin is currently available to wishlist on Steam and will be playable during October NEXT Fest.
