The debut trailer has been released for director J.J. Perry’s (Day Shift, The Killer’s Game) post-apocalyptic action thriller titled Afterburn.
Dave Bautista takes on the role of a treasure hunter who is contracted to venture into Eastern Europe ten years after it was devastated by a solar flare, with the aim of retrieving one of the world’s most prized paintings – Leonardo da Vinci’s The Mona Lisa.
Joining Bautista in the cast are Samuel L. Jackson, Olga Kurylenko, and Kristofer Hivju. You can watch the trailer below…
Following a catastrophic solar flare that annihilates the eastern hemisphere of the Earth, a daring treasure hunter embarks on an adventure in Europe to find the celebrated Mona Lisa, only to discover that the world requires a hero more than it does a painting.
Afterburn is expected to be released later this year.
