The 1990’s Night of the Living Dead is scheduled for a 4K Ultra HD release featuring a new uncensored version.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has revealed that the uncensored version of Tom Savini's 1990 "official" remake of George A. Romero’s iconic horror film Night of the Living Dead, featuring horror icon Tony Todd, is scheduled for a 35th anniversary 4K Ultra HD Steelbook release this September. This edition includes a new ‘Uncensored Cut’ that reinstates scenes of “graphic violence” that were previously cut to avoid an X certificate; check out the cover artwork and additional details here…

It’s a new night filled with terror—and a fresh dawn in the art of horror filmmaking as special-effects wizard Tom Savini (famed for creating the strikingly grotesque makeup in FRIDAY THE 13TH and CREEPSHOW) presents his unique vision in this vibrant remake of George A. Romero’s 1968 cult classic. Seven strangers find themselves trapped in a secluded farmhouse as cannibalistic zombies launch an unrelenting assault, murdering (and devouring) everyone they encounter. A defining classic for the ’90s: graphic, gruesome, and more horrifying than ever!
