The cast of Dexter: Resurrection discusses the thrilling new series...
For almost two decades, Dexter has managed to slice and dice his way into our affections. The franchise has been revitalized after its original run concluded, thanks to the sequel series, Dexter: New Blood, the recent prequel series, Original Sin, and the latest New York City-based reboot, Dexter: Resurrection. To promote the series ahead of its release on Showtime and Paramount+, we spoke with the infamous killer himself, Michael C. Hall.
In our discussion, we explored what it takes to embody the same character for such an extended period, becoming a hallmark role that many actors would envy. Hall humorously speculates on how far he would like to see Dexter go in the future, alluding to the direction many horror characters have taken, and expressing a desire to see Dexter venture into space. While Dexter has already taken Manhattan, could we possibly see a Dexter X akin to Jason X? Only time will reveal the answer, but it appears the actor is willing to continue in this role as long as fans desire it.
Alongside Hall are his castmates from Dexter: Resurrection, including David Zayas, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Dominic Fumusa, Kadia Saraf, and Emilia Suárez. The cast shares their experiences working within the dark realm of killers, the thrill of being part of such a legendary franchise, and their interactions with the beloved Michael C. Hall.

Following the events of DEXTER: NEW BLOOD, DEXTER: RESURRECTION is set a few weeks after Dexter Morgan (Hall) is shot in the chest by his own son. Upon awakening from a coma, he discovers that Harrison (Jack Alcott) has vanished without a trace. Understanding the gravity of what he has put his son through, Dexter ventures to New York City, determined to locate him and amend their relationship. However, achieving closure proves to be a challenge. When Miami Metro’s Angel Batista (David Zayas) arrives with questions, Dexter realizes that his past is quickly closing in on him. As father and son confront their own shadows in the city that never sleeps, they find themselves in deeper trouble than they anticipated – realizing that their only escape is to work together.
