Dylan Sprouse and Mason Gooding are facing criticism in the trailer for their buddy action comedy.
Voltage Pictures has unveiled a poster and trailer for Under Fire, a buddy action comedy directed by Steven C. Miller.
Dylan Sprouse and Mason Gooding star as undercover agents from the FBI and DEA, who realize they’ve been investigating the same case when they unearth their badges during a drug transaction. They are compelled to collaborate to escape a deadly sniper who has them cornered at the US-Mexico border. Check out the trailer below…
Under Fire takes place in the sweltering heat of the Mexico border, where rival drug dealers Griff and Abbott (Sprouse and Gooding) meet at a secluded drop point for a standard drug deal. However, when the transaction occurs, both agents reveal their undercover badges — Griff from the FBI and Abbott from the DEA — unaware that they are on the same case.
Before they can react, a sniper opens fire, killing cartel members and trapping the two agents behind their vehicle. They are forced to cooperate while bickering constantly, blaming each other for the ambush and questioning each step they take. Amid witty retorts and heated arguments, they open the cartel's briefcase to discover highly classified government documents that could lead to global catastrophe. Now, Griff and Abbott must put aside their rivalry to survive the gunfire, secure the documents, and escape alive — assuming they don’t end up killing each other first.
Under Fire is scheduled to be released on August 15th.
