Samuel Goldwyn Films has released the first trailer for M.J. Bassett’s long-awaited R-rated action fantasy, Red Sonja.
Starring Matilda Lutz (Revenge) in the lead role as the She-Devil with a Sword, the film depicts her quest to lead a diverse group of warriors in defeating the cruel tyrant who has enslaved them.
Joining Matilda Lutz in the cast are Martyn Ford, Robert Sheehan, Wallis Day, Michael Bisping, Philip Winchester, Trevor Eve, Luca Pasqualino, and Rhona Mitra. Watch the trailer below…
Captured. Bound. Forced to fight for survival. Red Sonja must navigate the bloody arenas of a tyrant's reign and gather a band of outcasts to regain her freedom and confront Dragan and his merciless wife, Dark Annisia.
Red Sonja is set to hit theaters on August 15th, followed by a digital release on August 29th.
