Following the special prologue story in Dynamite Entertainment’s Free Comic Book Day issue #0, the highly anticipated story of Goliath’s former love and adversary of the Manhattan Clan begins in earnest, taking us back to the Dark Ages and the aftermath of Castle Wyvern's destruction!
Set in the year 1093, the now-immortal Demona finds herself a lonely and hunted being. After betraying Scotland’s king, she has lost both her clan and her home and heads south to Northumberland in hopes of finding refuge — only to encounter her old foe, Canmore, who is raiding the city.
Canmore's devastation affects both humans and Gargoyles, and when Demona learns of his brutal nature and the fate of her kin at his hands, her rage ignites a cycle of retribution that will continue for centuries and threaten to engulf the entire world!
This inaugural chapter of the new, sweeping saga Gargoyles: Demona, written by Gargoyles creator Greg Weisman and illustrated by renowned artist and veteran of the original animated series Frank Paur, features timeless cover art by Paur, Meghan Hetrick, Jae Lee, and Mark Spears!
Gargoyles: Demona #1 will be available for purchase on July 16th, retailing at $4.99.
