      Filming for the highly ambitious Harry Potter TV series has begun at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the UK. In celebration of this milestone, HBO has provided fans with their first glimpse of the upcoming adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s bestselling book series, featuring young actor Dominic McLaughlin as the Boy Who Lived and Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid. You can view the behind-the-scenes photos here...

      The series will adapt each of Rowling’s books into its own season, with Francesca Gardiner (Killing Eve, Succession) as the showrunner and Mark Mylod (The Menu, Succession) as director. Both will also serve as executive producers, alongside Rowling and Harry Potter franchise veteran David Heyman.

      The new Harry Potter TV series boasts a cast that includes Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy, Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy, Bel Powley as Petunia Dursley, Daniel Rigby as Vernon Dursley, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Luke Thallon as Quirinus Quirrell, Paul Whitehouse as Argus Filch, Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown, Bertie Carvel as Cornelius, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander.

      Harry Potter is set to premiere on HBO Max in 2026.
