      Following yesterday's mock teaser for the upcoming Johnny Cage film Uncaged Fury, Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have now officially released the trailer for Mortal Kombat II, a follow-up to the 2021 video game adaptation.

      Directed once more by Simon McQuoid, the movie features Karl Urban joining the cast as action star Johnny Cage, who teams up with the defenders of Earthrealm to battle the evil Shao Kahn.       From New Line Cinema, the latest installment in the renowned video game franchise, Mortal Kombat II, arrives in all its brutal splendor. In this installment, the fan-favorite champions—now accompanied by Johnny Cage—face off in an ultimate, no-holds-barred, bloody fight to overthrow the sinister reign of Shao Kahn, which threatens the survival of Earthrealm and its guardians.

      Mortal Kombat II sees the return of Lewis Tan as Cole Young, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Josh Lawson as Kano, Tadanobu Asano as Lord Raiden, Mehcad Brooks as Jax, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Joe Taslim as Bi-Han, Hiroyuki Sanada as Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion, and Max Huang as Kung Lao, alongside newcomers Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, Adeline Rudolph as Kitana, Tati Gabrielle as Jade, Martyn Ford as Shao Kahn, Desmond Chiam as King Jerrod, Ana Thu Nguyen as Sindel, CJ Bloomfield as Baraka, and Damon Herriman as Quan Chi.

      Mortal Kombat II is scheduled to be released on October 24th.
