Bull Distribution has released a poster and trailer for Caroline Ingvarsson's psychological thriller, Unmoored.
Inspired by Håkan Nesser’s novel, The Living and the Dead in Winsford, the film centers on Swedish TV presenter Maria, whose life begins to fall apart amid accusations against her husband. Seeking a fresh start, she escapes to the English moors after confronting him.
The cast features Mirja Turestedt, Thomas W. Gabrielsson, Kris Hitchen, and Anna Próchniak. You can watch the trailer below.
Maria is a prominent Swedish TV presenter whose world is shaken by disturbing allegations against her husband. To evade the media frenzy, they take a sabbatical in the south. However, an unforeseen confrontation initiates a desperate sequence of events.
Alone, Maria retreats to the tranquility of the English moors, but her peaceful retreat quickly devolves into paranoia. As her guilt intensifies, she is compelled to confront the depths of her own self-deception.
Unmoored is set to hit theaters on August 15th.
