      Bleecker Street has officially released three images for Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, Rob Reiner’s much-anticipated sequel to the 1984 cult classic mockumentary This is Spinal Tap. The images provide a first look at band members David St. Hubbins (Michael McKean), Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest), and Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer) as they come together for one last concert; take a look here…

      Forty-one years after the debut of the innovative mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap, the once estranged bandmates David St. Hubbins, Nigel Tufnel, and Derek Smalls (played by Michael McKean, Christopher Guest, and Harry Shearer) are compelled to reunite for a final performance. Spinal Tap II: The End Continues also brings back documentarian Marty Di Bergi (Rob Reiner), who once more aims to document his favorite metal icons as they reflect on their mortality—and hope that their 12th drummer doesn’t join them in The Great Beyond. Alongside music legends Paul McCartney and Elton John, Spinal Tap confronts their tumultuous history to deliver a concert that they aspire will cement their legacy in the realm of rock ‘n’ roll.

      Spinal Tap II: The End Continues will be released in theaters on September 12th.
