Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days receives a significant new update.
PikPok Games has released the second significant update for their zombie shelter survival game, Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days. This new update introduces a wealth of content to the early access game, presenting additional challenges for survivors in this post-apocalyptic setting. A trailer highlighting these new features can be viewed below.
Navigating the zombie-infested remnants of Walton, Texas is already tough, but this latest update makes survival even more challenging. Interacting with zombies is now more perilous due to the introduction of new infection mechanics. If survivors contract an untreated infection that transforms them into zombies, players will have to prepare to exile that survivor from the shelter.
The zombie hordes are also now more threatening with the addition of new zombie variants. These new types will display unpredictable behaviors, necessitating that players adapt their strategies to survive.
A new survivor has also appeared in Walton – Vince, a troubled teen from an affluent Texas family. With a strong anti-authoritarian attitude, he may prove to be a challenging survivor to manage, but he could also possess valuable skills.
This update also includes new difficulty settings, allowing players to customize their experience in Walton with pre-defined options of Casual, Normal, or Hard. Alternatively, players can create a personalized difficulty by modifying various game elements.
Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days is currently available on Steam Early Access.
