Today, on the opening day of San Diego Comic-Con, the premiere date for the second season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians was announced as December 10th, along with the first trailer and casting news for two significant characters that will debut in the third season.
Joining the cast for the upcoming third season, which is set to begin production shortly, are Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie, portraying Nico and Bianca di Angelo, siblings who are pursued by demons for undisclosed reasons. The second season will adapt The Sea of Monsters, while the third season will be based on The Titan’s Curse. You can view the casting announcement and trailer below…
A year after the events of the first season, Percy Jackson returns to Camp Half-Blood only to discover that his life has drastically changed. His relationship with Annabeth is evolving, he finds out he has a cyclops brother, Grover is missing, and the camp is under attack by Kronos's forces. Percy's quest to restore order will lead him into the treacherous Sea of Monsters, where a hidden destiny awaits Poseidon's son.
The cast of Percy Jackson and the Olympians includes Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase, Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse La Rue, Charlie Bushnell as Luke Castellan, Virginia Kull as Sally Jackson, Glynn Turman as Chiron, and Toby Stephens as Poseidon. Season two will feature Daniel Diemer, Timothy Simons, Tamara Smart, Sandra Bernhard, Kristen Schaal, Margaret Cho, and Andra Day, with Courtney B. Vance stepping into the role of Zeus following the passing of Lance Reddick.
The second season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians will debut on December 10th.
