Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson, co-stars from Dawson's Creek, come together again for the Happy Hours film trilogy.
Exciting news for fans of the 90s teen drama Dawson’s Creek: Pacey and Joey – or rather, Joshua Jackson and Katie Holmes – will reunite for Happy Hours.
Intended as a trilogy of feature films, with Holmes as the writer, director, and star, Happy Hours will feature the former co-stars portraying “two individuals (Jackson and Holmes) navigating their relationship amidst the challenges of careers, family obligations, and the quest for love in the face of life's unavoidable hurdles.”
Touted as a “character-driven dramedy,” the film will delve into “the emotional journey of young lovers who reconnect in adulthood, linked by shared experiences of joy, loss, and hope.” This will mark Holmes’ fourth (or fifth and sixth?) film as a director, following her work on 2016’s All We Had, 2022’s Alone Together, and 2023’s Rare Objects.
Filming for the first installment of Happy Hours is set to begin this summer, with Holmes and Jackson being joined by Mary-Louise Parker, Constance Wu, Joe Tippett, John McGinty, Donald Webber Jr., Nathan Darrow, Johnna Dias-Watson, and Jack Martin.
