The Comic-Con trailer for Outlander hints at the upcoming eighth and final season.
At the San Diego Comic-Con, Starz hosted a panel for its popular series Outlander, featuring stars Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton, and Richard Rankin, along with executive producers Matthew B. Roberts and Maril Davis. They unveiled a trailer for the eighth and final season of Outlander, which hints at Jamie Fraser's fate, accompanied by a video message from Caitríona Balfe. Outlander, based on the book series by Diana Gabaldon and created by Ronald D. Moore, tells the story of Claire, a woman who travels through time from post-WWII Scotland to 1743 during the Jacobite Rising. After meeting and falling in love with Jamie Fraser, they start a family and relocate to the American colonies, where tensions between the British and Americans are escalating. The later seasons depict the emergence of the American Revolution, forcing Claire, Jamie, and their family to navigate another historical conflict.
The cast of Outlander includes Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton, Richard Rankin, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Duncan Lacroix, David Berry, César Domboy, Lauren Lyle, Colin McFarlane, and Caitlin O’Ryan.
As fans eagerly await the final season of Outlander, they can look forward to the upcoming prequel series Outlander: Blood of My Blood, set to debut on August 8th. Outlander Season 8 is scheduled to premiere in 2026.
