Marvel's Alien vs. Captain America will feature Steve Rogers battling the xenomorphs during World War II.

In news from San Diego Comic-Con International, Marvel Comics has unveiled its latest crossover from 20th Century Studios, featuring writer Frank Tieri and artist Stefano Raffaele as they place Steve Rogers against a swarm of terrifying xenomorphs during World War II in the four-issue limited series titled Alien vs. Captain America.

“You know, occasionally a project comes along that makes you pinch yourself for being part of it,” remarked Tieri. “We have two of the most iconic franchises in entertainment—Captain America, the quintessential hero, facing off against Alien, a legendary name in horror. As a writer, what more could you ask for?”

“I pitched this with the intention of making it a period piece set in WWII, knowing it would provide many exciting elements to explore... Cap versus the Red Skull, Baron Strucker searching for Attilan in the Himalayas, Bucky’s interactions with the Howling Commandos, Hydra employing the Xenomorphs as weapons, and more,” he added. “We have all that and beyond, as fans can anticipate a thrilling blend of horror and heroism... along with several surprises for good measure.”

You can view the main cover of Alien vs. Captain America #1 by Leinil Francis Yu below, alongside a foil variant by Dan Panosian.

Set during World War II, Hydra is on the hunt for a new weapon to defeat the Allies and claim victory in the war. To achieve this, the Red Skull has dispatched Baron Strucker to the Himalayas to locate the legendary city of Attilan. However, instead of discovering the Inhumans, Strucker finds something far more lethal. Much more… Alien. Will Captain America and the Howling Commandos be able to thwart the Skull and his newly acquired xenomorph weapons, or will the First Avenger realize that in war-torn Europe… no one can hear you scream?

Alien vs. Captain America #1 is set to be released on November 5th, 2025.
