Exclusive Trailer for the Locarno Premiere of White Snail, by the Directors of Space Dogs

Following the intriguing Space Dogs and Dreaming Dogs, directors Elsa Kremser and Levin Peter are broadening their focus beyond dogs with their upcoming drama-romance White Snail, set to premiere at the Locarno Film Festival. The film stars Marya Imbro, Mikhail Senkov, Olga Reptuh, and Andrei Sauchanka. We are excited to present the exclusive first trailer ahead of its debut next week.

Here’s the synopsis: “A Belarusian model with aspirations for a career in China becomes captivated by a mysterious recluse who works the night shift at a morgue. Their meeting challenges her perceptions of body, beauty, and mortality. This delicate love story features two outsiders who turn each other’s lives upside down and find solace in one another.”

“Through White Snail, we aim to foster a sense of connection, helping individuals feel less isolated in their struggles, while inspiring the courage to embrace our imperfections and show vulnerability,” the directors stated. “Our goal is to uncover what often remains hidden – a viewpoint unbound by nostalgia and Eastern European clichés. We share stories from a country whose narratives seldom extend beyond its borders.”
