Otherwar is set to launch on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

Take IT Studio! and developer Kantal Collective have announced that their popular PC game Otherwar will be arriving on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. This bullet hell tower defense game invites players to engage in a celestial battle that offers a unique twist on two well-known genres.

In this blend of tower defense and bullet hell shooters, players will adopt the role of an angel, a divine protector summoned to defend the Gate of Heaven against the cursed Hordes of Hell. As this heavenly guardian, players can soar above the battlefield, vanquishing foes while navigating the intricate attack patterns of the demonic forces. Implement strategic planning to position fortifications that will weaken the hordes, and then shift the momentum of battle using the angel’s combat abilities.

The adversaries players will encounter are diverse, with nearly all employing a distinct type of attack, including heat-seeking eyeballs, slow but wide-spanning spider webs, and swirling patterns of razor-sharp leaves. Some enemies possess special powers, like the malevolent necromancer, who will start raising skeleton units if left unchecked for too long.

Players will battle through 9 meticulously designed, challenging levels, and will have the opportunity to choose the towers and skills they believe will aid them in combat. An array of different towers is available, including offensive towers, defensive towers that intercept incoming attacks, and specialized towers such as slowing fields. Players will also be able to enhance the angel’s abilities and acquire new skills between missions.

Stay tuned for more updates regarding the release date for Otherwar.
