Arnold Schwarzenegger will not return for additional seasons of FUBAR, as Netflix has decided to cancel the series after two seasons.
Arnold Schwarzenegger's debut in television has taken a turn for the worse, as Variety reports that Netflix has cancelled the action-adventure spy series FUBAR just two months after its second season premiere.
Nick Santora (Scorpion) created FUBAR, which features a plot similar to True Lies, where Schwarzenegger's CIA agent Luke Brunner learns that his daughter Emma (Monica Barbaro) is also a covert operative, leading to years of mutual deception.
The first season of FUBAR was a significant success for Netflix in 2023. Although the second season, which premiered this past June, had a promising start by entering the top 10 of Nielsen’s streaming originals, it apparently did not meet Netflix's standards sufficiently to justify a third season.
The cast of FUBAR, alongside Schwarzenegger and Barbaro, includes Milan Carter, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, Fabiana Udenio, Aparna Brielle, Guy Burnet, Andy Buckley, Jay Baruchel, Barbara Eve Harris, and Scott Thompson, with Carrie-Anne Moss joining in the second season as the antagonist, an old flame from Luke's past.
About Gary Collinson: Gary Collinson is a producer and writer in film, TV, and digital content. He founded the pop culture website Flickering Myth and produced the gothic horror film 'The Baby in the Basket' as well as the upcoming thriller 'Death Among the Pines.'
