The Ninth Doctor and Rose Tyler return in Doctor Who: The Ninth Doctor Adventures - Snare.

      Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper reunite for Doctor Who: The Ninth Doctor Adventures – Snare, a brand-new full-cast audio drama that has been released today on the Big Finish website. This inaugural episode in a new bi-monthly series continues from the TV episode Father’s Day, where Rose causes quite a stir when she encounters her father on the day of his death.

      In this episode, Rose asks the Doctor to take her back to her home at the Powell Estate to visit her mother, Jackie (played by the talented Camille Coduri). While there, they encounter Kevin, a former neighbor who has returned to clean out his father’s flat with the assistance of his sophisticated artist friend Marlene. When Kevin uncovers something unusual in the flat, the Doctor eagerly steps in to investigate, only to find an alien jungle flourishing in the bathroom, revealing that something ancient is awakening on the Estate.

      Joining Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper are Camille Coduri as Jackie, Alex Austin as Kevin, and Hannah Brown as Marlene.

For this one, Kevin’s story about his dad and the mental health themes resonate profoundly with Doctor Who and Russell.       Christopher Eccleston shared, “Recording this script was quite surreal because those references to Rose’s estate transported me back to 2004, remembering the TARDIS in the midst of the estate. Those days are still very clear in my mind.”
