The second season of Taylor Sheridan's Landman is scheduled to premiere in November.
Paramount+ has announced that the second season of Landman, featuring Billy Bob Thornton, will premiere in November. The series, created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, is inspired by the podcast Boomtown, which delves into the contemporary Texas oil industry. Thornton plays Tommy Norris, a lawyer for an oil company looking into a deadly incident. Joining the cast for season two is Sam Elliott, though his character details remain undisclosed for now.
Landman adds to Sheridan’s expanding television portfolio. Alongside its upcoming season, Tulsa King is set to return in September, the spinoff NOLA King will begin production next year, and the fourth season of Mayor of Kingstown is scheduled to debut in October.
Set against the backdrop of West Texas’s boomtowns, the series presents a modern narrative of wealth-seeking in the oil rig industry. Drawing from the well-known 11-part podcast Boomtown, it tells an upstairs/downstairs story involving roughnecks and wealthy billionaires driving a boom so significant that it alters our climate, economy, and global politics.
The cast of Landman includes Billy Bob Thornton, Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, Jacob Lofland, Kayla Wallace, James Jordan, Mark Collie, Paulina Chávez, Demi Moore, Jon Hamm, Andy Garcia, Michael Peña, and Colm Feore.
Season two of Landman will debut on November 16th.
