Evade the Cylons with the trailer for Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes.

During the Gamescom Opening Night Live event, Dotemu and indie studio Alt Shift announced Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes, a new interactive game inspired by the popular franchise. Set to launch in early 2026, the game will provide players with a roguelite experience in which they must ensure the survival of the remaining Twelve Colonies. Check out the new trailer below.

Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes places players in charge of a fleet of human ships escaping the Cylons’ annihilation. To ensure the fleet's survival, players must navigate to the formidable Colonial capital ship, the Battlestar Galactica. This mission is more complex than it appears, as players will face Cylon attacks, manage political dissent and conflicts within the fleet, and identify any impostors among the survivors.

To help the fleet reach the Galactica, players will need to make challenging decisions, which will introduce various obstacles, such as locating planets or points of interest in the galaxy, resource management, upgrading their forces, and crew deployment during attacks. With each move and decision made, the Cylons come closer.

Combat against the Cylons will emphasize survival and escape. Players can deploy the reliable Viper ships and command them in real-time battles, aiming to defeat or stall the Cylons until they can escape to another part of the galaxy. The defenses of the capital ship may also be utilized against greater threats.

Each attempt in the game allows players to adjust their strategy to withstand Cylon assaults and unlock new squadrons, weapons, and abilities, as well as meta upgrades that will enhance future gameplay.

Ensure the survival of humanity with Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes, launching for PC in early 2026. Visit the Steam page here to add it to your wishlist.
