Shudder understands that the Halloween season demands a mix of horror, glamour, and a bit of grit, which is why a new season of our beloved spooky drag show is just what is needed. According to Variety, we can look forward to a second season of the all-star edition of The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula, titled Titans.
As reported, Season 2 will bring back 14 drag performers from past seasons to compete in challenges focused on design, performance, and makeup, all inspired by themes of horror, science fiction, fantasy, and the supernatural. The lineup of contestants will be announced at a future date.
“We didn’t want to simply create another season of The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula: Titans,” shared Dracmorda and Swanthula Boulet in a joint statement. “Our goal was to craft a spectacular season that would outshine everything prior. We challenged ourselves more than ever, invited back the most formidable competitors in the show’s history, and infused every episode with surprising twists, incredible artistry, and genuine emotions. This is ‘Titans’ in its full glory – larger, darker, and more relentless than anything we’ve attempted before.”
To win the crown, contestants must withstand the show’s unholy trinity of Filth, Horror, and Glamour, along with competing for the grand prize of $100,000, a headlining position on an upcoming world tour, and the prestigious title of Queen of the Underworld.
This season will feature guest judges including David Dastmalchian, Jennifer Tilly, Todd McFarlane, Kate Siegel, Don Mancini, Bonnie Aarons, Akela Cooper, Twin Temple, Peaches Christ, Steve Orlando, Ryan Turek, James A. Janisse & Chelsea Rebecca, as well as Victoria Elizabeth Black, the winner of Dragula: Titans Season 1.
The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula: Titans is set to premiere on AMC+ and Shudder on October 7.
