A fantastic new Doctor Who story featuring the Seventh Doctor and Ace is set to be released in October!
A brand-new audio drama box set is set to be released by Big Finish this October, offering more escapades for the Seventh Doctor (Sylvester McCoy) and Ace (Sophie Aldred). Doctor Who – The Seventh Doctor Adventures: Wicked! transports listeners back to the early days of Ace’s journey in the TARDIS.
Doctor Who – The Seventh Doctor Adventures: Wicked! includes three fresh adventures that unfold shortly after Ace joins the Doctor on the TARDIS. The new stories are:
**Backwards and in Heels** by Alison Winter – After meeting the Doctor on Iceworld, Ace accompanies him on a scenic route home to Perivale. However, upon arriving in 1920s Soho, she starts to question her choice.
**The Price of Snow** by Katharine Armitage – When the Doctor and Ace reach the exclusive Val du Cam Belle ski resort, they begin to observe eerie occurrences, including an overly intense sun and unnaturally dark shade. Something sinister lies beneath the snowy hills, and they are determined to uncover it.
Lastly, in **The Ingenious Gentlemen** by Alan Ronald, the time travelers venture to 15th-century Spain where they meet the unusual duo of adventurers, Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. Is everything as it appears with these two?
This third tale in the box set features the award-winning Simon Callow voicing Don Quixote. Other voice actors included in this box set are Alexandra Barredo, Luke Barton, Paulo Vieira, Sophie Kennedy Clark, and Tom Alexander.
Simon Callow portrays the idealistic dreamer Don Quixote, stating: “Don Quixote and Sancho Panza are one of the great double acts of our culture, akin to Laurel and Hardy! Don Quixote is constantly searching for demons and villains to defeat because he sees himself as a knight with a duty to save those in distress. However, it is a refreshing change for him when he meets the Doctor. They are completely in sync – it’s as if they are soulmates, which is quite moving.”
Doctor Who – The Seventh Doctor Adventures: Wicked! will be available on the Big Finish website this October. Fans can choose to buy the digital version for £19.99 or the download and limited collector’s edition 3-disc CD box set for £24.99. Bundles will also be offered on the site.
