Tyriq Withers and Marlon Wayans infuse energy into this surreal and eerie sports movie, even as Him grapples with its own peculiarities. If you ever doubted that horror and sports could intertwine, it turns out this combination is more lethal than anticipated.

Directed by Justin Tipping, the film features a cast that includes Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker, Jim Jefferies, Maurice Greene, Guapdad 4000, and Tierra Whack.       HIM stars former college wide receiver Tyriq Withers (Atlanta, the upcoming I Know What You Did Last Summer) as Cameron Cade, an emerging quarterback who has dedicated his life and identity to football. On the eve of the annual scouting Combine for professional football, Cam is assaulted by an obsessed fan and sustains a brain injury that could jeopardize his career.

Just when all hope seems lost, Cam is thrown a lifeline when his idol, Isaiah White (Marlon Wayans), a legendary eight-time Championship quarterback and cultural icon, agrees to train Cam at his secluded estate, where he lives with his celebrity influencer wife, Elsie White (Julia Fox; Uncut Gems, No Sudden Move). However, as Cam’s training progresses, Isaiah’s charm takes a sinister turn, leading his protégé down a bewildering path that might cost him more than he ever expected.
