A Writer's Odyssey 2 releases trailer and character posters.
In anticipation of its October release, a trailer and character posters for A Writer’s Odyssey 2, the sequel to the 2021 Chinese fantasy drama directed by Yang Lu, have been unveiled online.
The film features author Lu Kongwen teaming up with the characters from his novel to prevent a looming disaster as he grapples with an overwhelming temptation during a personal crisis that could lead them all to ruin. Watch the trailer below…
Lu Kongwen, a novelist, finds himself engulfed in a profound life crisis when he succumbs to an irresistible temptation, which drives both him and his book's characters toward an unavoidable disaster. Within the novel's universe, the protagonist, Kongwen, starts a quest of defiance against his fatalistic destiny.
Ultimately, the novelist faces his own darker nature, reestablishes his belief, and collaborates with his characters to avert disaster for both realms.
The cast features Guo Jingfei, Deng Chao, Dong Zijian, Lei Jiayin, Angela Wang, Ding Chengxin, Wang Yanlin, Finden, Xin Zhilei, Chang Yuan, and Chang Chen.
A Writer’s Odyssey 2 is set to be released in theaters on October 1st.
