The Boots trailer showcases two close friends enlisting in the US Marine Corps during the 1990s.

      Netflix has called on viewers to pay attention with the release of the trailer for Boots, their upcoming drama inspired by Greg Cope White's memoir, The Pink Marine. This story follows a closeted teenager and his best friend as they enlist in the US Marine Corps during a time when being gay in the military was illegal.

      The series consists of eight episodes and is created and co-showrun by Andy Parker (Tales of the City) and Jennifer Cecil (One Tree Hill), with Norman Lear serving as executive producer. Boots features Miles Heizer (13 Reasons Why), Liam Oh (The Thing About Harry), Vera Farmiga (The Conjuring: Last Rites), and Max Parker (Vampire Academy) in its cast.
