Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown reveals its initial gameplay trailer.

      Daedalic Entertainment has released the first gameplay trailer for their upcoming narrative-focused survival strategy game, Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown. In this new Trek title, players will have the opportunity to take command of the U.S.S. Voyager and make choices that will influence the ship's journey home to Earth, as well as the impact those choices will have on the crew.

      Have you ever considered whether you could have brought Voyager back more quickly and in better shape than Captain Janeway? Would you have approached any of her tough decisions differently? Would you have ensured the crew’s return home regardless of the repercussions in the Delta Quadrant? With Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown, you can put aside the ‘what-ifs’ and steer the U.S.S. Voyager according to your own vision.

      You can choose to engage diplomatically or charge through the quadrant with all phasers firing, explore technologies that the crew overlooked, or rely on tried-and-true Federation technology. Every decision you make will carry consequences that may influence the odds of getting home, the possibility of encountering a specific iconic character, and the survival of certain crew members based on each choice. The game's rogue-like features will present different challenges with every playthrough.

      Additionally, the game includes a comprehensive ship management and research system, and once the ship enters the Delta Quadrant, it becomes severely damaged. Repairs and reconstruction are necessary, but there are no shipyards available to assist. You will need to determine what to build and when. Construct ship systems, crew quarters, industrial and research facilities, and decide on your research priorities. From technology that enhances crew morale to Borg technology, the choice of what to pursue in research lies with you.

      If diplomacy fails (if you even decide to try that approach), it’s time for combat, and you will be responsible for issuing commands for both offensive and defensive operations. Select which crew members will operate battle stations and choose targets on enemy vessels.
