The final trailer for the highly anticipated *Wicked: For Good* has been unveiled, showcasing the bittersweet reunion between Elphaba and Glinda as the Wizard of Oz continues to portray Elphaba as the villain in Oz, while she stands against his regime.
*Wicked: For Good* is adapted from the second act of the acclaimed Broadway musical *Wicked*, which reveals the untold origins of the Wicked Witch of the West and the true events in Oz. The film is inspired by Gregory Maguire's book of the same title, with adaptations helmed by Jon M. Chu.
In addition to the classic songs from the musical, the film will introduce two new tracks performed by Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda. The songs titled ‘No Place Like Home’ for Erivo and ‘The Girl in the Bubble’ for Grande are penned by the musical’s creator, Stephen Schwartz. You can view the trailer below…
Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), now branded as the Wicked Witch of the West, lives in exile deep in the Ozian forest, continuing her battle for the freedom of Oz’s silenced Animals while trying to reveal the truth about The Wizard (Jeff Goldblum).
On the other hand, Glinda has become the glamorous embodiment of Goodness for all of Oz, residing in the Emerald City palace and enjoying the benefits of her fame and popularity. Under the guidance of Madame Morrible (Oscar® winner Michelle Yeoh), Glinda is sent to provide uplifting comfort to Oz, assuring the public that all is well under The Wizard's leadership.
As Glinda's fame grows and she prepares for a grand wedding to Prince Fiyero (Olivier award winner and Emmy and SAG nominee Jonathan Bailey), she is troubled by her separation from Elphaba. She seeks to mediate peace between Elphaba and The Wizard, but her attempts are in vain, only pushing them further apart. The repercussions of these events will permanently change Boq (Tony nominee Ethan Slater) and Fiyero, and endanger Elphaba’s sister, Nessarose (Marissa Bode), when a girl from Kansas unexpectedly enters their lives.
With an angry mob rising against the Wicked Witch, Glinda and Elphaba must unite one last time. Their unique friendship, now pivotal for their futures, requires them to truly understand each other with honesty and empathy to transform themselves and all of Oz for the better.
*Wicked: For Good* features Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey, Marissa Bode, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, Bronwyn James, and Sharon D. Clarke.
*Wicked: For Good* will hit theaters worldwide on November 21st, 2025.
