A trailer has been released online for the Kafkaesque mystery Mr. K, written and directed by Tallulah H. Schwab, ahead of its debut next week.

Crispin Glover plays a traveling magician who becomes ensnared in a claustrophobic nightmare while navigating the labyrinthine hallways of a secluded hotel where he intended to stay for just one night, only to find that he cannot escape.

Joining Glover are Sunnyi Melles, Bjørn Sundquist, Fionnula Flanagan, Dearbhla Molloy, Jan Gunnar Røise, Barbara Sarafian, Esmée van Kampen, Sam Louwyck, and Fabian Jansen. Watch the trailer below…

Down on his luck, traveling magician Mr. K (Crispin Glover) is struggling as business is sluggish, and the few gigs he manages to secure leave him feeling lost. Following a night at a remote hotel, he is unsettled when he realizes he cannot locate the exit. As he meanders through the maze-like passages, he hears unusual sounds and meets various peculiar inhabitants who have created their own groups within the hotel’s confines. Feeling isolated and terrified, he begins to sketch a map of the corridors, fervently attempting to understand the building’s layout before it is too late. Just when he feels utterly trapped and on the verge of surrendering, he makes a strange discovery that alters everything. Featuring the uniquely eccentric Crispin Glover, this Kafkaesque mystery provides a fresh interpretation of descending into the unknown.

Mr. K will be released in select theaters on October 8th.
