Patricia Clarkson is joining the cast of Netflix's Ransom Canyon.

      Netflix has announced that Patricia Clarkson (Lilly) will join the cast of its drama *Ransom Canyon* in a recurring role for the second season.

      *Ransom Canyon* centers around Staten Kirkland (Josh Duhamel) and other ranching families as they grapple for land control against each other and outside elements. Concurrently, Kirkland endeavors to rebuild his life after experiencing family tragedies while developing a budding romance with Quinn O’Grady (Minka Kelly).

      Clarkson will take on the role of Claire O’Brady, Quinn's mother. No additional details about other characters have been revealed at this time. The logline for the upcoming season states, “The future of Ransom Canyon is uncertain as ranching dynasties continue their power struggle, with new arrivals posing threats to the lives and loves of this charming western town.”

      “We're excited to return and eager to amplify the steam, drama… and romance that *Ransom* fans have come to adore,” expressed creator, showrunner, and executive producer April Blair.

      Alongside Clarkson, Ben Robson (Animal Kingdom) and Heidi Engerman (Candyman) will join the cast, while Eoin Macken and Andrew Liner will not be returning for the second season after being series regulars in the first.

      *Ransom Canyon* is inspired by the book series by Jodi Thomas, with Blair as showrunner and writer. The second season is currently in production.

Johnson, Jennifer Ens, Brett Cullen, Kate Burton, Niko Guardado, Philip Winchester, Justin Johnson Cortez, and Kenneth Miller.
