Bye Sweet Carole introduces hand-drawn horror elements to PC and consoles.
Maximum Entertainment, along with the Italian studio Little Sewing Machine and Meangrip Studios, has announced the release of their beautifully animated horror adventure game, Bye Sweet Carole, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Drawing inspiration from the classic era of hand-drawn animation, this new title invites players into a stunning world filled with dark fairy tales and nightmares. A new launch trailer can be viewed below.
Set in early 20th-century England, Bye Sweet Carole follows the brave young girl Lana Benton as she embarks on a dangerous quest to find her missing friend, Carole Simmons. Her journey quickly leads her to the foreboding Bunny Hall orphanage and then into the mysterious kingdom of Corolla. This enigmatic kingdom is governed by the malevolent Mr. Kyn, the merciless owl Velenia, and a horde of nefarious tar bunnies.
Players will need to explore this dark and distorted kingdom and the haunting hallways of Bunny Hall, surviving the various creatures that inhabit it while uncovering the grim truth about Carole's disappearance.
Lana’s loyal friend, the gentle Mr. Baesie, will accompany her on this adventure as she solves puzzles, evades enemies, and tackles platforming challenges. If the situation becomes too intense, Lana has the ability to transform into a rabbit and utilize different forms to escape the dangers of Bunny Hall and Corolla.
Bye Sweet Carole is available for digital download and also launches physically on PS5 and Nintendo Switch. A special retail edition is offered, featuring a Reversible Coversheet with alternative artwork, a Digital Original Soundtrack, and a Digital Artbook.
