Threezero has revealed the MDLX figures of Optimus Prime and Cliffjumper from Transformers.

Threezero has introduced its latest action figures, Optimus Prime and Cliffjumper, from the Transformers MDLX Comic Book Edition. These figures draw inspiration from the Autobot heroes’ appearances in the Energon Universe comics and are currently available for pre-order; you can view the promotional images here…

The MDLX Optimus Prime (Comic Book Edition) features a revamped design of the classic Autobot Leader, reflecting his look from the Energon Universe comic series. This edition showcases a newly crafted, detailed head sculpt, battle-damaged windshield design decals on his chest, and weathered paint effects throughout his body. Additionally, it comes with an interchangeable broken shoulder piece that can be swapped with Megatron’s severed right arm equipped with a Fusion Canon. The MDLX Optimus Prime (Comic Book Edition) stands about 7” (17.8 cm) tall, has around 48 points of articulation, and includes a die-cast metal frame. Accessories consist of one Ion Blaster, one Energon Axe, one Autobot Matrix of Leadership, and six types of interchangeable hands (a posed hand, a fist, a left hand for the Energon Axe, a left hand for the Ion Blaster, a left hand for the Matrix of Leadership, and a pointing finger hand). It also includes three interchangeable right hands for accommodating Megatron’s severed arm.

MDLX Cliffjumper (Comic Book Edition) features newly designed and sculpted feet that reflect Cliffjumper’s original alt-mode, while his main body sports a heavily weathered paint scheme, and his chest windows and other components have been reworked and repainted. This figure stands approximately 5” (12 cm) tall, has around 36 points of articulation, and includes a die-cast metal frame. Included accessories are one laser blaster, two Cliffjumper heads (a standard head and a battlemask head), and three pairs of interchangeable hands.

The MDLX series comprises articulated figures that embody the essence of threezero’s well-known DLX series but at a smaller scale, maintaining an impressive range of articulation and durability at an extraordinary price point. The Transformers MDLX line is based on the original 1980s The Transformers cartoon and toy line, reimagined by threezero Art Director Kelvin Sau. The iconic designs have been creatively remixed, integrating threezero’s hyper-detailed mechanical aesthetic for a familiar yet exciting new look. Transformers MDLX figures utilize threezero’s distinct die-cast zinc alloy and engineer-grade plastic frame system, ensuring both playability and durability. Each figure is meticulously finished with the detailed craftsmanship and weathered paint application that threezero is celebrated for, presenting beloved Transformers characters in a fresh format for all to appreciate.
