Following the success of the bestselling graphic novel Long Live the Pumpkin Queen, Dynamite Entertainment has revealed its return to Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas universe this January with the release of a four-issue limited series titled The Shiver of Christmas Town, created by writer Torunn Grønbekk and artist Edu Menna.
“Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas offers a vivid blend of imagination and dark wonders, and it has been a delight to explore and add to this universe,” remarked writer Torunn Grønbekk. “In our tale, not much goes as expected: tricks are played, treats are enjoyed, and throughout this journey, Dr. Finkelstein’s new creation Shiver learns the true essence of Halloween. Edu Menna beautifully captures the movie’s gothic and whimsical tone, and I hope this book will introduce a new generation of readers to the magical realm of Disney’s Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
The mysterious Dr. Finkelstein, the creator of Sally, is working on another invention. When he introduces an unusual but surprisingly charming creature as a new pet, Sally is responsible for its care. However, the three familiar trick-or-treaters from Halloween Town take it along as they set off on their adventure to Christmas Town.
