A new trailer for the 2D beat ‘em up Terrifier: The ARTcade Game has been unveiled, announcing the game's release date of 21st November. Additionally, this trailer features the main theme composed by Cody Carpenter, the son of the iconic filmmaker and horror legend John Carpenter.
With the launch of Terrifier: The ARTcade Game next month, players will immerse themselves in a dark 16-bit environment as a pixelated Art the Clown. Although the graphics are pixelated, they retain the terrifying essence of the Terrifier films through gruesome and bloody gameplay. Players will transform film sets and streets into battlegrounds filled with hacking and slashing, all while enjoying smooth animations. This 16-bit game will evoke nostalgia and possibly induce nightmares.
To turn victims into gory puddles, players can choose from a variety of weapons and utilize power-ups to enhance their combat abilities. Combat features exaggerated gory attacks and finishing moves that will leave a lasting impact.
Players will navigate through multiple stages, each offering different paths to explore and numerous enemies to defeat. At the conclusion of each section, a boss will challenge the skills players have developed. Six distinct game modes will cater to all types of players, from quick beat ’em up sessions to lengthy challenges, with each mode introducing unique twists and hurdles.
Players can join forces with up to three friends for a chaotic local co-op experience. With the various game modes presenting their own unique challenges, participants can collaborate or compete against one another.
Terrifier: The ARTcade Game is set to launch on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam on 21st November.
