The harsh rogue-lite survival horror game Cyber Rats has been released on Steam.

      Being a lab rat is already a nightmare, but it's even worse for the unfortunate rats in Cyber Rats, the latest rogue-lite survival horror game from Outpost Games. Navigate a treacherous maze in search of the crucial cheese, but be cautious of the bloodshed and gore. Check out the release trailer below…

      In Cyber Rats, you take on the role of a lab rat tasked with finding ten pieces of cheese concealed deep within a maze. Sounds straightforward, right? Not quite; the maze is entirely governed by a morally bankrupt AI that has lined it with lethal traps and cyborg hunters eager to pursue you and your fellow rats.

      You begin the game with three random rats, select one to lead the venture, and assist them in surviving perilous procedural mazes for as long as possible. Keep an eye out for traps and the cyborg hunters, which are former lab rats that succumbed to the maze and have been transformed into monstrous beings. Successful runs will grant your rat new colors and types.

      As you explore the maze, find Upgrade Atoms that can be utilized to enhance your rat after each attempt. Additionally, Life DNA can be collected to revive or replace deceased rats.
